Lead singer wanted

CRUSH is looking for you, an ambitious singer, who would also like to get involved in songwriting - especially the (English) lyrics.

We are not a cover band, we play rock/hardrock. Songs and rehearsal room are available (Baden area). We would like to return to the studio and rock the stage as soon as possible.

Dan leaves CRUSH

We regret to announce that, due to health reasons, Dan has made the difficult decision to step down as the lead singer of Crush. His departure comes as a significant loss for our band, as he has been an exceptional match both in terms of musicality and personal camaraderie.

Dan, we wholeheartedly extend our well wishes to you. Your presence will forever remain an integral part of Crush's story.

Story of CRUSH

Yesterday:
The hardrock band CRUSH was founded by Omar Borrini and Patrick Moser in 1994 and formed with three other band members, among them Fritz Hunkeler. After many successful concerts in Switzerland and Germany, among others with rock greats like Gotthard, Sina, or Natascha, the debut album called «Appetizer» was released in 1996. The ballad «Where» included on it became the band's most played radio hit in Switzerland. In 1997 CRUSH got a new frontman: Tommy Lion. Shortly after, the label ATI from London wanted to sign CRUSH, but due to different visions of the future of the members, the band finally disbanded in the summer of 1997.

In 2018, the three original band members Omar Borrini, Fritz Hunkeler and Patrick Moser revived CRUSH, and Martin Stöckli (drums) and Katharina Dienstl (bass) joined them. Shortly after the extremely successful revival and the release of «Intoxication», all planned concerts were unfortunately cancelled due to the corona pandemic. At the end of 2021, after more than two years of rehearsal but without any prospect of concerts, frustration arose within the band. The future of CRUSH was again uncertain.

Today:
However, the two original band members Fritz Hunkeler and Patrick Moser did not want to bury the band and firmly believed that the original compositions - with their pounding beats, catchy guitar riffs and distinctive sound - belonged under the public eye. In the spring of 2022, they were able to recruit Dan Paulweber as their new frontman. Dan, who manages to bring with his distinctive voice, the already existing and the newly created songs to an unprecedented level for the band. With Martin Frei on bass and Chris Roth on drums, they have brought together a troupe that has no need to hide in the Swiss music scene.

CRUSH is working intensively with various nationally and internationally successful musicians, such as Eric St.Michaels (ex-China, King Zebra) on new original compositions and is planning new studio recordings in spring 2023. These will be processed with further original compositions in a new, unique, varied and unforgettable live set. Thanks to our invisible sixth band member - our own in-house engineer and sound freak Franz Christen - a constant and awesome mixed sound is guaranteed.
